Sarah Tidey
Course Director and Lead Tutor
Sarah completed BSc Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham before training as a Sports Massage Therapist.
She has extensive experience in the treatment of soft tissue injuries. Her career has included roles within physiotherapy clinics, treating individuals with a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries and many years of working with professional athletes. She worked with the British Sailing Team from 1999 to 2011, travelling extensively with the team. During this time, working at international regattas, European and World Championships, also attending both the Athens and Beijing Olympic Games.
Sarah worked for the English Institute of Sport with the GB Diving Team providing massage and Pilates.
Sarah has been involved in teaching since 2003 and is a lead tutor at the London School of Sports Massage and is passionate about sharing her knowledge. As lead tutor of the Southampton LSSM for over two decades, Sarah has recently taken the reigns to evolve Coastal Academy, her own school, working under the LSSM umbrella.
Sarah trained with Body Control Pilates® and qualified as an instructor in 2002 and now divides her time between providing specialist soft tissue treatments, Reformer Pilates sessions and online mat based classes.
